Doing Well by Doing Good: A Nonprofit & Public Service Panel

Thursday, November 6 | 4:30-6:30 PM

Dunlap Student Success Center – Room 2201

One of the best ways to learn about working in the nonprofit & public service sector is to hear personal stories directly from professionals in those positions, who are devoting their lives to such meaningful work.

Hosted by: The Career Center (http://career.fsu.edu) and the Center for Leadership & Civic Education (http://thecenter.fsu.edu)

Serve2Learn Series: Global Café

The topic of this interactive open discussion will be on civic responsibility - focusing specifically on the upcoming presidential election.  The Center for Leadership and Civic Education offers this workshop to all students who wish to express their thoughts and opinions on the topic; to hear others' views and perspectives; and to learn more about civic responsibility.  At the workshop, students will have an opportunity to respond to a variety of questions in small groups.  This will be a nonpartisan conversation with no focus on any political campaign or platform.  The aim of this workshop is to give participants “food for thought” to help them realize their full potential to be informed voters and responsible citizens.

The workshop will be held on Wednesday, October 29th, from 3:00-4:30pm, at the new Dunlap Success Center (100 S. Woodward Ave.) in room 2201-2202.  If you are interested in participating or would like more information, please contact Heather Skojec at 850-645-1515 or via email at hskojec@admin.fsu.edu.
