Description: Trick or Vote is a Get Out to Vote effort aimed at educating voters about the candidates, amendments, and voter rights; all themed around Halloween. We will be giving out goody bags with candy, promotional items, and most importantly, educational information regarding the General Election. All information is non-partisan and we ask that volunteers wear costumes to pass out information to the attendees of the October 24 Down Town Get Down.

Poker Tournament for Habitat for Humanity @ FSU!

Habitat for Humanity at FSU is hosting its annual Texas-Hold 'Em Poker Tournament, Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 6pm in Miller Hall, University Center Bldg. C.  A donation buy-in of $10.00 is requested to participate.  There will be free food, games, and prizes for the lucky players!  All proceeds go to Habitat for Humanity at FSU towards the efforts of eliminating substandard housing and will help a local, deserving family reach home ownership.  For more information about this event, upcoming events, and Habitat for Humanity - visit www.fsuhabitat.org or contact our Public Relations Chairperson, Rachel, at publicrelations@fsuhabitat.org.

Student Profiles of Service is an award sponsored by the Division of Student Affairs and the Center for Leadership and Civic Education recognizing individual students who demonstrate exemplary commitment to community service at local, national, or international levels. Students Profiles of Service Applications are now available online at http://www.thecenter.fsu.edu and at the Center for Leadership and Civic Education. The deadline to apply is Thursday, November 6th.

Best Buddies - Special Education

Best Buddies an international program that develops friendships with students with intellectual disabilities. We participate in monthly events with Gretchen Everhart; a school for children with special needs. It is a great way to develop everlasting friendships, serve script hours, and make a difference in the community. We encourage students in special education to join. Invisible Children Film screening: Rough Cut Documentary

Invisible Children at FSU will be holding screenings of the Rough Cut Documentary September 23, October 8 and November 10 (with the Roadies!) in HCB 216 at 8:15 pm. Invisible Children merchandise will be available to purchase. Come out to support our cause and learn more about what Invisible Children is doing to help establish peace in Northern Uganda. Scooper Night at Brusters for Dance Marathon

Dance Marathon is hosting a fundraiser from 7pm-9pm Wednesday, Oct. 1st, at Brusters Ice Cream on Tharpe and High St. 25% of proceeds go to Dance Marathon, which benefits The Children's Miracle Network, Shands Hospital, and FSU's College of Medicine.
